Cindy Wallace- Mom, Grandma and Artist

A native Pittsburgher, Cindy Wallace paints primarily in acrylics. She seems to be involved in a happily-ever-after marriage of vibrant colors, bold brush strokes and a vivid imagination, creating her whimsical, eye-catching and often thought provoking work. Primarily self-taught, her work is represented in a growing number of American galleries, and has been acquired in corporate and private collections in the United States and abroad. Her painting entitled "Faces of Freedom" received stellar reviews and became part of the corporate collection of Crown American Enterprises, selling for $25,000. Another painting "The Nutcracker" was reproduced on the cover of the playbill for Pittsburgh's famed Heinz Hall presentation of the Great Russian Ballet. In addition to her creations, Cindy has a growing list of commissioned work.

Cindy Wallace has often combined her strong commitment to the arts with an equally strong commitment to charitable causes. She has donated proceeds from many of her works to such noted organizations as the Albert Schweitzer Hospital in Haiti, Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh and Trial Lawyers for Public Justice in Boston, San Francisco, Chicago, Miami and Montreal. Her original of "The Nutcracker" was auctioned with proceeds going to benefit the Salvation Army.

Cindy enjoys traveling the United States and overseas, where she brings back many of the ideas for the zany, whimsical characters that come to life on her canvases. Figuratives are her passion and dominate her images, but she also enjoys painting florals, still lifes and abstracts within her highly identifiable style of vivid colors and imagination.

In addition to her art, Cindy is an accomplished song stylist. She has recently introduced her first CD entitled "For You", which premiered along with a number of her paintings at a special showing at the world renowned Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh. Other notable appearances include being invited to perform at Pittsburgh's PNC Park where she offered outstanding renditions of the National Anthem and Irving Berlin's "God Bless America".

According to Cindy "Singing is painting and painting is singing. Both are limitless in their boundaries, humbling in their pursuit and fulfilling their ability to allow one the chance to unlock and share imagination, energy and creativity."

Megan Podolsky- Mom and business manager

After spending 15 years in the fashion industry, working for such leaders in the industry as Abercrombie and Fitch and Calvin Klein, I decided to stay at home with my baby boy.

Although motherhood was extremely rewarding, I began to miss the passion and excitement of the working world!  After throwing around numerous business ideas, it came to me, why not promote my very talented mother? This is how My Artistic Impressions was born!
